Five Ways to Help You Endure Bad Days
From the moment you wake up until the moment it’s finished you just feel like- well you know, what’s the point of even thinking about it – right? But it affects the way we feel and interact with others throughout the whole day; when we’re not feeling well, we don’t want to be bothered.
For those days that you’re struggling and want to crawl back in bed here are five things that will help get you through the times you just want to run away and hide.
- Tell yourself it’s okay you’re having a bad day. Remind yourself this is just one bad day not a lifetime of bad days. It may be difficult to ignore the frustration or sadness you feel but reminding yourself that it’s not going to be like this everyday is healthy.
- Do something (or two) that you enjoy.
- Overload yourself on music every second you can.
- Own your feelings and not-so-happy thoughts; don’t take it out on others.
- Talk with a friend or if you don’t feel like talking then write or draw. All three choices can be very therapeutic.
