Toby appears to be a moderate ESTP. He is light-hearted and has a hard time taking things seriously. He always wants to have fun and is open to adventures. Toby uses humor to deal with difficult subjects and situations. He has a hard time dealing with conflict because it requires a somber nature.
Toby is extremely supportive of Kate. He even agreed to lose weight with her even though he was initially against losing weight personally; although that was probably a defense and coping mechanism – saying he was fine with his weight. At least he realized the need to do something differently when he had a heart attack. Hopefully it doesn’t take a heart attack for people to face their fears and deal with the not-so-pretty areas in life.
[Toby and Kate are perfectly matched together according to the inner preferences. SF’s and ST’s are well matched just as long as the ST person can get in touch with their F side enough to maintain a healthy relationship. In this case Toby definitely has an F side and I would love to see what kind of household he grew up in. Men who are in touch with their F side learned how to be active and attentive listeners.]
