NT Types
The four types: ENTJ; ENTP; INTJ; INTP
The Intuitive-Thinker has the ability to be logical and innovative at the same time. This combination is typically seen with inventors such as Steve Jobs (The founder of Apple), Ingvar Kamprad (the founder of Ikea), Elon Musk (founder of Tesla), and Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon).
Their intuitive processing differs from NF types because they approach projects and situations with trying to figure out how to be different and make money. The end goal is not necessarily making life kinder but making life interesting. They love looking at the big picture and working towards accomplishing a goal in any sector; personal life or career, they seek to find new ways to make a difference.
The NT’s with a higher strength of Perceiving will take more risks with their ideas. The perceiving function encourages an air of openness that judgers do not hold. NTJ’s are more hesitant and will plan out their ideas very carefully; they take calculated risks.
It can be very difficult for NT’s to open up their feeling side if they have not tapped into that dichotomy. NT’s who have grown up with feelers in their family on a personal level will be able to relate to emotions and feelings in a different way than someone who has grown up without feeler types. Even if an NT does not have much of a feeling presence, they can learn how to be more empathetic with people and in-tune with their feelings.
NT’s hate to be told what to do unless they really respect the person and their ideas. It’s not that they cannot follow the rules – they usually think their way is better. Sometimes they will test the limits and boundaries because they want to see how far they can push someone.
When NT’s feel confident and stable, they move towards problem solving in creative ways. They feel more comfortable going with their gut even if it may not be accurate. NT’s are not always the best with being intuitively correct. The exception would be with the INTJ who has honed their observation skills and really pays attention to fine details. NT’s differ with their intuition in that it’s not feeling based and isn’t attached to an emotional response but one based upon the inference of logic. Whereas some NF’s can have an intuitive prediction, the NT’s intuitive prediction is not from the same thread.
